Carlos is patient with explanations and really good with kids. Our four year old is comfortable and relaxed with all her examinations. Mr Pavesio is a top rate professional. Carlos has been looking after me since the age of six, and in that time, he has shown what a great doctor can achieve. I’m not a “textbook” patient, and can easily say that without the care, optimism and genuine creativity he’s shown in my case, my life would look very different now. Suffering with a chronic condition is not easy, especially when you’re young, but for both me and my parents, Carlos has been someone we trust entirely with something most important to me, my vision. “I first met with Carlos in April 2015 for treatment of retinal oedema in my right eye.

He injected an Iluvien implant into the eye, which sounds a bit scary but was actually very straightforward (even though I hate injections!). The implant proved effective for the predicted three years and my vision improved significantly. I subsequently had another implant injected in 2019.
