When I was referred to Professor Pavesio and came under his care over e decade ago, I had unfortunately lost the sight in my right eye due to uveitis and my good left eye was also affected by the disease. I am indebted and eternally grateful to Professor Pavesio to stabilize the Uvietis in my left eye with medical treatment over a period of time and maintaining a normal vision in my one good left eye at all times and as such, enabling me to live my life normally.

“I first met with Carlos in April 2015 for treatment of retinal oedema in my right eye.
He injected an Iluvien implant into the eye, which sounds a bit scary but was actually very straightforward (even though I hate injections!). The implant proved effective for the predicted three years and my vision improved significantly. I subsequently had another implant injected in 2019.
Throughout the treatment Carlos and his team has been friendly, professional and thorough. He communicates clearly and honestly and is always only a phone call away, which is very reassuring.”

Carlos is patient with explanations and really good with kids. Our four year old is comfortable and relaxed with all her examinations. The team helped navigate us through difficult times as Covid hit in early 2020, helping to secure important appointments. They are brilliant with communications and all the back office organisation and administration. All this combined gives us the confidence that our daughter is receiving excellent care.
